Dark, intense and introspective, Ghost Painted Sky is music from the turmoil of mind, heart and soul.
A full length album is in the works, but in the meantime, three maxi-singles/short EPs are available at ghostpaintedsky.bandcamp.com

Ghost Painted Sky began as the solo studio project of David Strong (vocals, guitar, drums, bass VI, bass guitar, keyboard, occasional programming).
The music is strongly influenced by the classic goth, darkwave, and post-punk sounds of the 80s and 90s (along the lines of The Cure, Joy Division, Clan of Xymox, The Sisters of Mercy, Swans, Requiem in White, early Lycia and Human Drama), tending toward the dark and introspective.
After involvement with several bands (including Twelfth of Never), and earlier solo projects (including an ultimately abandoned precursor to Ghost Painted Sky), David took a hiatus from music altogether for several years, before re-emerging after a period of personal difficulty and transformation in 2014, with the self-titled Ghost Painted Sky EP.
The summer of 2015 saw the release of a second, somewhat more rock-oriented EP, The Shadows Breath, and a live lineup make its debut.
Lisa Wood contributed vocals on some tracks for the Scars maxi-single in 2017, and the debut full-length album is in the works for 2018.
